Parkour is a relatively new physical discipline, a unique way to develop all aspects of one's body, including strength, balance, flexibility, agility, stamina and control. At its heart, Parkour is the Art of Motion, the most effective way to get from point A to B. Find out more about the Parkour classes here.

2. What does mixed martial arts (MMA) training involve?

The mixed martial arts are a modern method of combining several types of fighting arts into a very effective, well rounded training system. It uses smooth transitions between striking, take-downs and grappling to maximize effectiveness in self-defense. Find out more about the mixed martial art classes here.

3. What is circuit training and calisthenics?

Circuit training is one of the most effective ways to lose weight, gain strength and tone your body. It involves a fast pace workout that continuously rotates the exercises, giving some muscles rest while others get a short burst of high resistance. This method allows participants to work on a lot of different muscles groups in a short period of time without needing long breaks in between sets. One hour workout can burn as much as 800 calories. It is appropriate for all levels of fitness because the sets are based on time rather than weight, so everyone can train at their own level. Find out more about the Parkour classes here.

4. What should I bring and wear to my first class?

It’s best to wear shorts and a t-shirt for your first class, or anything that you can comfortably move in. Additionally, it is a good idea to bring a bottle of water and athletic shoes (for the Parkour class only). Don’t forget to fill out the online waiver. If you intend to fill it out at Olympia, please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
